There are many good things about living in Bermuda. One not so good thing is wanting to drive overseas when you only have a Bermuda driving licence. At some point, many jurisdictions' driving licences will become invalidated if you are no longer living in that country. This means that many Bermuda residents only have a Bermuda licence, even if they originally had another one.
This causes problems when wishing to drive outside of Bermuda, as Bermuda driving licences are not recognised in many countries. The consequences of driving overseas with an invalid licence can be very serious. In this post, I will explore this situation and address what can be done about it.
